Instabil
domizil 18, 2003
CD
Instabil marks Reto Mäder’s (alias rm74) second contribution to domizil. It finally came to life after two years of intense work, and after Reto's participation in the music project Ohne. Again, the data on his hard disk drives form a busy, confused mass, with atonal songs and spastic ballets. Randomly, Reto Mäder rummages through his noise collection, cross-synthesizes pianos with computers and plays us loony tunes from children’s digital songbooks. Sometimes the data rate suddenly bursts out drawing sound structures into combustion - an invitation to sit on a cold, stormy night warmed by the glow of Mäders disc singing along to a data song from the unstable world. (instabil - German for "unstable")
